Wow, so Day 3 of Cisco Live went by in a blur, and I let the night  disappear into an evening of playing with my new Apple.  So, what about Day 4?!
Rushed breakfast
The day began with a rather rushed breakfast – After some morning calls for work, I cut it a little fine transitioning from breakfast in the hotel, to the train, to the conference.  But luckily for me, Cisco knows its geeks…

There are coffee stops EVERYWHERE in the Fira complex, not to mention fridges with cold drinks, and a regular supply of snacks – including fruit and healthy options such as gluten free options!
Some 1:1 time with System Engineers
Today was an important day for me. Â I’d managed to line up some 1:1 time with some of the Cisco System Engineers who were presenting at the conference. Â Our discussions focussed a number of topics that I’m closely involved in at the moment, as well as more discussion on roadmap and technical capability of a number of different products.
As much as I wish I could say more … it isn’t appropriate in a public forum, but suffice to say that Cisco really did bring its best to Barcelona! The level of depth and breadth of knowledge was fantastic!
Hello to the Social Team
As I was racing between sessions, I paused to say “hello” to the Social Media team manning the event, who I’ve been engaging with throughout the week -Â keep up the fantastic (and tireless) work team!

More Sessions
You guessed it, there were plenty more sessions running today and between my 1:1Â meetings with the System Engineers I had a chance to spend more time on UCS, IO performance, and Agentless Configuration!
Unfortunately, I missed the Guest Keynote with none-other than … Bruce Dickinson !!!  I’m gutted I missed the session, but I had an invaluable opportunity to meet with some people in Cisco which was simply too good to pass up.  Guess I’ll live the experience via the YouTube reply (hint @Cisco … please post on YouTube!).
Time to Unwind
As the end of the day came to a close, the World of Solutions (vendor exhibits) shut its doors, and the venue transitioned into the eagerly-awaited performance from Rudimental!

There was a fantastic buzz in the air – people floating around, talking to everyone and anyone.  It was the excitement of an invaluable week of education and networking, with the final release of some amazing music (and delicious food, with the occasional beverage).
No photos of Rudimental?
So… in a moment of … “unfortunate timing”, my phone battery nearly gave out.  I wanted to have some power left for an emergency message so figured I would let you all enjoy some much better photos captured by better photographers than me 🙂
One incredible set by @Rudimental out here in Barcelona with some sparkly numbers too @CiscoLiveEurope @CiscoEvents #CLEUR #Rudimental pic.twitter.com/wC5zyrU8jh

He’s a “Barnes” … what’s not to like 🙂
Home Tomorrow
Day 5 means it’s home time. Â IÂ can’t wait to see Jenni and the kids, but I will be sorry to say goodbye to the Cisco Live conference … but that’s for one last blog post!
